[Sol-aris], Latin for "of the sun" or "solar," refers to "illuminating our earth, bringing warmth and visibility."
SafeStride, Inc. is dedicated to illuminating, educating, and inspiring the communities of our world.
Solaris is our supernova—beaming vibrant light onto academic, cultural, and social issues; to ignite widespread education, empathy, and collective action. Our Solaris Institute is comprised of key scholars, students, and faculty of our university chapters and partnership institutions. Solaris publishes peer-reviewed academic, social, and cultural research; bridging the gap between academic scholarship and public engagement.
Valuing depth, diversity, and discourse, our ongoing academic, social, and cultural research produces scholarly articles, in-depth interviews, original documentaries, podcasts, virtual exhibitions, poetry collections, guest editorials, language and culture series, case studies, and more. Through each of these mediums, Solaris also collaborates with experts, activists, and thought leaders across various fields to curate special editions and thematic series that weave together diverse narratives and perspectives from across the globe.
Our institute offers a platform where stories of resilience, creativity, artistry, triumph, and unity are shared and celebrated. As such, every one of our published articles, interviews, and multimedia assets have been meticulously curated to deepen cultural understanding, diversify readers' perspectives, and encourage informed discourse through social cohesion.
