The seeds you plant today might not blossom tomorrow—but as long you shine your sunlight—they will bloom into remarkable achievements that beautify the landscape our world, and the people of it.
Every effort you make contributes to a thriving, sustainable future, turning tomorrow's promise into today's reality.
Identify and recruit at least five students to fill key leadership roles: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Event Director.
Choose a faculty advisor engaged within their communities who can guide the chapter effectively. (You might consider someone who has a particular interest in community betterment/global development or participated in something similar when they were a student!) Every chapter operates differently depending upon their environment, resources, and objectives, so it's paramount to define your chapter’s unique focus as early as possible.
Whether it's service hours, fundraising, professional development, or workshops— organize your activities and engagement initatives accordingly! With this, each chapter member should have specific responsibilities, all geared towards fostering leadership and organizational skills.
Membership is open to any student eager to elevate their community through leadership, with a commitment to a minimum of 50 hours of service annually.
Engage with peers who share a passion for global and community leadership and invite them to join as chapter members. To be registered at your school, a chapter must have at least 10 founding members (this may include the 5 leadership students).
There are many ways to recruit new members—remember, people join people, not organizations. Get out there and spread some light!
